Clouds is a group of 20 artists
who show how the "whole is greater than the sum
of the parts." The staff has been growing for 25
years. They include potters, painters, glazers,
casters, decorators, and a kiln technician who is
truly an artist with fire. They include fine artists,
an industrial designer, lifelong clay nerds, and
everyday normal people who if you met them on the
street you would never dream of their being ceramic
superstars.
The creative team is ably supported by a retail
staff who include not just clerks but interior designers
and people who can help translate a tile project
into reality. Clouds is indeed the best place in
the universe for gifts. And that is no idle boast,
it is a challenge we have made to ourselves and
we work every day to make it reality.
We are a collaborative design studio where everyone
has maximum freedom to contribute to the pottery
and where each artist contributes a special talent
to the work.
Our website is evolving to better represent what
we do ... but there is no substitute for visiting
us at our gallery in Folsom, California.
There are hundreds of pictures on our website. They
represent what we do, but each piece is unique.
We only sell pieces we would be proud to have ourselves.
